NO METAPHOR HAS A DAILY ROUTINE

Submissions are open for NO METAPHOR'S first issue.

Our theme is DAILY ROUTINE.

We're looking for short fiction from 300 to 1000 words about a daily routine or daily life; about something that happens every day to you or someone else or the entire world. Don't let the zine title mislead you; NO METAPHOR is named after the straight-forward illustrations of your fiction. Please feel free to give your short story metaphor and meaning if you feel so inclined.

Daily routine can be interpreted as you like, but remember that it is not completely conceivable to be fighting aliens and saving the world every single day. Unless you're Bruce Willis. Then that's okay, I guess.

You may name your piece whatever you like.

No politics or poetry, please.

Once your piece is submitted, one line or phrase will be illustrated. It will not be a line that represents the meaning or metaphor of the piece. It may be a line of dialogue, like, "That fucker still has my money." or the phrase "he went through the door quickly".

Please feel free to submit something that you have already written.

The deadline for NO METAPHOR HAS A DAILY ROUTINE is 18 August.

Please see the SUBMISSIONS page for contact information.
